2005/10/08 we finally made it back from the island so there you go...

Mission Report: TOHKAMAK launch executed successfully (click images to enlarge) A team of TOHKAMAK special agents accompanied the famous “Die Slaughterhaüs” inhabitants Black Lips during a stretch of their recent euro tour, what will follow is a short overview of the events. It all started with Alberto’s van that broke down in some alpine valley, the kids had to take a cab and leave their instrumentation behind, so in Inzbrooke at the CHOKE media empire show they played on the instruments of The Delicious Deadly Octopus, both bands shows were a total blast and the Gimp’s record release partee came to good end. The Brown and Joe even did a jam with an old alcoholic screaming Bullen, Scheisse, Arschloch on top of his lungs for about 10 minutes. After the van got fixed the Black Lips played two more shows on the continent, one in Switzerland and one in some bar in Verona before departing as stowaways on a ship to Sardinia, they crossed the island in their van and evetually arrived at Marina di Arbus where Kidand as well as Pedruzzo were eagerly awaiting them at their “Just Out Of Business” beach bar and the local beat complesso “The Rippers” was already getting ready to kick off with a rampant show on the beach. After The Rippers had finished tuning the Black Lips’ guitars they intoned their traditional folk songs. The crowd went completely nuts, the Black Lips were so tight that Jared wanted to call it quits after about a dozen songs but ended up playing about 10 more songs in 4 encores before it was all over. BTW if that crazy Kyuss maniac from Sarroch that was freaking out on stage, falling around all over the place, grilling him self on the red hot coals of the BBQ and spilling his beer on him is reading this, or someone that knows him, it would be cool if he could contact us since we have a present for him, being he the winner of the nut case of the night award. the Black Lips were in the same kind of mood, Cole once more had offered a demonstration of his incontinence and gave it a taste too, complimented with handshakes by two girls beside him. After the show they were cought in the usual debauchery and boulder throwing whilst shaking to the cramps radio together with the spectators of this epic event, but more was to come. The morning after the drunken night, they went on an extended trip and Joe was even concerned about being thrown off the spinning planet. Right in front of the house that hosted their short alcohol recovery the first small waves of a swell were rolling in and so it was surfing time for the Black Lips under Theg’s guidance. In the meantime The Rippers had finished the roasted pig that was served in the dining room, Cole managed to eat some bits of the pork’s gums but not much more. In the evening 170 took them to the dunes at Piscinas where they almost got lost in darkness with him, they got back just in time to burn a few down before the banquet, consisting of roasted lamb grilled octopus, squid and vegetables and spicy salad. After a good dose of booze they where all ready to leave the island again and head to Venice for yet another show this time with the fabulous Mojomatics photos by: tohkka05, 170, Tiberio Sorvillo

2005/09/15 we sent the 170, our hairy android on a mission to Sarenthein, in order to track down Steve von Reinswald and make him trade in the snaps he took during their encounter in Paris, to read the report of it scroll down to the news-posting of 2005/07/11. Well, luckily he succeeded and he got the pics in change for a few ggWRECkURDS promo discs, to seal the deal Michl joined them for a pint of diesel, which they drank together under the autumn sun on the park café's terrace...

2005/09/08 the first release of our sort of label ggWRECkURDS dedicated to live bootlegs is about to be released. it is the gig The Delicious Deadly Octopus played in the moskito cellar in december, the one that got interupted by that berzering ex cop, we have it all on tape and soon you'll be able to get it on disk. the tracklist is up at ggWRECkURDS.guitarsgalore.net  official release date will be friday the 23rd at their gig with the BLACK LIPS in innsbruck, check CHOKE  for details on that show.

2005/09/05 oky doky, here's the deal we synthesized into the mighty TOHKAMAK and our first offspring will be a show of the awesome and totally brutal Freakout-University dropouts BLACK LIPS from Atlanta Georgia... it all will take place on monday26septembeer at the OUT OF BUSINESS beach bar in Marina di Arbus on the COSTA VERDE in Sardinia. 2005/08/11 eventually online are the pictures of the Mojomatics gig at the WHY NOT? go to pix.guitarsgalore.net to see them. very small fest that was, but we really enjoyed it, not just cuz it was for free. The organisers where super frendly, the weather was fine the people where mellow and there was a "Filmkamera" stand with couches underneath a tree showing movies like shining, black cat white cat, dead man et cetera, the only point they should work on is to place local bands on an extra day cuz most of them where actually not so good. the Brant Bjork & The Bros and the Morkobot pics should be up sometime during next week

2005/07/11  ok this is for the bored ones that can’t help but reading everything we post so it’s going straight to the old news section. We sent our remote controlled “170” android on a little euro zone round trip from Lievez to the City Of Poizen on to Inzbrooke, the Fleischkaas capital, then from Saarbrücken and Trier to Luxembourg, the city of squares. There we had him stuck for a bunch of weeks until eventually we piloted him back to Lievez via Paris, Marseille, Nice, Ventimiglia, Milano and Desenzano di Garda. In the city of love he didn’t find any love and neither luv instead he met Steve and Michael, two roaming sarners that brought him along on a sight seeing tour: first Jim’s tomb at Père Lachaise, Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, underneath which 170 handed out flyers of the Brant Bjork concert on the Batofar to a group of catwalk chicks. The stray sarners then took him on the metro, jumped off at the Bibliothèque François Mitterrand and went to the Batofar which turned out to be a red boat with a tower on top of it  that was anchored near that library on the Seine and captained by a very helpful and friendly Mogly. Brant Bjork and the Bros got the boat rocking from port to starboard during their more than two hours lasting set with lots of new songs from their smoking new double LP “saved by magic”, great jam at the end with a good dose of Cream’s sunshine of your love thrown in. Mike Peffer delivered a totally delighting variation of the classic brutal slave ship drum theme, Cortez and Dylan Roche were as solid as ever and maestro Brant directed everything smoothly on his Mexican startocaster. Steve banned a few snaps on film and as soon as he’ll be back he’ll be forced to hand them out. Also we are planning on directing our android to the “why not?” fest in Fiorenzuola d'Arda on Saturday the 30th of July. The Mojomatics and Anna and the Psycho Men will also play there on Friday, in case you wanna drop by the place is between Piacenza and Parma. Anyway back to the past, the two strawling sarners took a nap in front of the entrance of the ministry of finance and then placed the robot on a TGV to Nice, where he fell into a comatose phase on the public beach staring at the Côte d'Azur which is indeed pretty much azur. In a short hitch hiking extravaganza he got in trouble with more than one conducteur de voiture that kept distracting him from his aimed goal, i.e. to get a ride to Milano on a truck after having missed the train, that’s cuz a Montecarlo girl with a pair of DJ turntables hidden in a coffin in the back of her black “furgon” dropped him at a silly Total station in the nowhere of Nice’s Chaumerie. Finally after quite a long time span where he was continuously switching streets with his silly piece of cardboard reciting “ITALIE” he returned to La Gare De La Ville and went to Ventimiglia by train, continuously running out of batteries also he passed the yacht on which Yusuff Achim Al Golem was casting his spells. Finally sitting on the fountain in front of the stazione he got to know two radical girls from Suomi who crisscrossed Europe by hitch hiking and who also regularly dodged paying the fare every time they took the train and who just got out of a stalking experience, with them he humped on the morning train to Milano, where they vanished. The last event on his odyssey saw him chased out of his reserved second class window seat by a six headed Danish tourist family.

2005/06/28  went to see the Eagles Of Death Metal-Queens Of The Stone Age Show, more about that soon. on our stay in Luxembourg we've also seen a couple of other shows amongst which the Madrugada show was a good one whereas the Interpol show was rather wretched, what is going on in the head of that dude on bass anyway, he had dyed is hair black, a Hitler-haircut, black shirt and way to short tie-obviously black, and to round it all up he was wearing black army boots up to his knees over the rigorously black trousers, probably was wearing a black string tanga with an SS skull and bones underneath it and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he had given his pubic hair the shape of Adi's silly moustache to make his comrades happy when they're working on his weener. If you wanna do your self a favor and prevent similar creepy thoughts simply don't listen to your hip teenage girlfriend or the sissies hanging out with her when they ask you to give these hit-wonders a chance. They're not too bad as background music whilst mowing your granny's lawn, perhaps one could even put up with them at a summer-festival, only with two hands full of boobs belonging to a consentient and hot 18 year old female human being, that is if you are still frequenting these robberies. Just never let your self convince to go see 'em in a place with 500 sheep on a hot summer night, at least I had earplugs, tinnitus by them is almost as bad as getting trampled over by a horde of mullet fanatics at a bonjovi concert, not that they were any loud but I wanted to make sure the damage was only mental so the 2 euros for the earplugs seemed a reasonable investment before the gig and actually I wish I didn't have to wait for the others that way I could have saved you from this rant, well after all I was near the entrance and could come and go as I pleased, ok I'm kinda rambling on here, but dude that band sucked...

just a short  message concerning freedom of speech in Italy, there is a comedian who in fact is much more than just an entertainer, he brings up problems that are hidden from the pubblic eye... since we've reached the point where something that isn't shown on TV is considered to be non-existent. His name is Beppe Grillo, he is banned from italian TV partly because of his own choice, partly because he is too annoying for the persons in control, he doesn't accept to be censored so he decided to appear only live in theaters and started a tour. Recently he also started a blog www.beppegrillo.it but the folks that maintain it for him censor everything published with a nick name or containing messages hat would interfere with their views or their business. For instance recently swiss TV broadcasted a show recorded in Milan, someone posted the links to download the recording via  
www.emule-project.net but a few minutes later his post disappeared.
