| Not only are we just 3 km from the nearest beaches (San Felice, Salò), B&B Monteacuto and La corte del tempo are also very well-placed for art-lovers – Verona, Bergamo, Brescia, Rovereto and Mantua are only an hour away by car. Sporty types will find plenty to keep them busy too – water sports, horse-riding and cycling are all available locally (it’s not a coincidence that a number of professional sports personalities have chosen Puegnago as their home) and there are several golf courses within easy reach – “Golf di Salò” just 1 km from us; “Gardagolf” in Soiano, 3 km away; 6 km from “Arzagagolf” in Lonato; “Golf di Bogliaco” 8 km up the West coast.
The unspoilt natural surroundings of B&B Monteacuto and La Corte del tempo open opportunities for walking, horse-riding and mountain-bike excursions.
For those with an interest in the history of the 1800’s and 1900’s S. Martino della Battaglia, Solferino and Salò can be easily reached in a few minutes.
Gardaland and Caneva World, the famous amusement parks, are just over an hour away, as are the Bussolengo wildlife park and the Cavour Watersports Park.
B&B Monteacuto and La Corte del tempo are also at the Southern edge of the “Alto Garda bresciano” nature park, which is full of walks, views and opportunities to experience the traditions and history of North-western Garda. The delightful little towns along the coast should not be neglected either: Limone, Gargnano, Toscolano-Maderno, Gardone and Salò itself, were all once fishing villages and have managed to retain part of their charm to this day.
The Valtenesi, the South-western region of Lake Garda where B&B Monteacuto and La Corte del tempo are situated, has a number of wonderful panoramic viewpoints: the “Rocca di Manerba” promontory, Puegnago town square and upper Padenghe are just a few. Every town has it’s own castle or fortress and there are numerous sites of archaeological interest – the “Rocca di Manerba” again and the small lake at Lucone. The area is also a connoisseur’s delight: Puegnago del Garda is a “wine city” and the whole of the Valtenesi boasts excellent wines – not just the local Gropello or Chiaretto (rosé) – and D.O.P. extra-virgin olive oils. Local truffles are an attraction for gourmets as are the fish (caught in the lake of course) and other local delicacies such as “spiedo”, a mixed spit roast. There are town food-and-drink fairs almost all year round. |

| However you’re travelling B&B Monteacuto and La Corte del tempo are easy to get to.
Bergamo/Orio al Serio and Verona Villafranca airports are about an hour’s drive whilst Verona/Brescia at Montichiari is only 20-30 minutes away.
Desenzano del Garda railway station is only 20 minutes away.
