FLAG OF SULU *

This flag , used by moros of Sulu presents some typical elements of the battle flags of the Sultanate , like the five stars and the crossed kris and barung but has been profesionally made, not homemade.
We think it is made after 1916 for his modern style.
The flag is located in U.S.A., Chapel of St. Cornelius the Centurion , Governor's Island, New York.

"RAVEN FLAG" OF IRANUN AND SAMAL BALANGINGI
According to the oral tradition of the people of Balangingi on the fort of Sipac there was a large red flag with a black raven on it ; the red color was a symbol of courage and the black color symbol of death.
On another spanish account we can find out the following word who are describing that flag : " El Fuerte (Sipac) guardaba silencio, cada vez mas cercano y terrible, con el solo tremolar de una bandera roja, a cuyo lado colgaba un cuervo muerto: sangre y muerte, querian decir los piratas ".
