Monte Generoso is for sure the most beautiful mountain closer to my home, and probably from its top you can get one of the best skyline view over Alps, in particular in Winter.

The Observatory on the top is owned by the Ferrovia MonteGeneroso SA that owns the hotel "La Vetta" on the top and the railway to go there.

I work there as scientific director of the observatory even if, at the present, the telescope is used only for public observation, lectures and activities with schools and cultural groups.

Tha main telescope is a 0.61-m Ritchey-Chrethien reflector on equatorial fork mount. Since the end of September 2005, another very nice intruments has been installed: a breathtakinf Takahashi 152-mm apochromatic refractor. The two telescopes are mounted in parallel just to use the same mount of the main telescope.

I would like to open the door of the dome but reaching the cabinet is a problem.
