born 1968 in Turin, Italy, is an Italian translator, writer, editor,
language teacher, Japanese culture consultant. He contributes to
specialist magazines such as Quaderni
Asiatici (Centro di Cultura
Italia-Asia "G. Scalise") and A
Oriente! (La Babele del
Levante), for the latter also editing the
bilingual Japan special issue
(2002), and with a number of literary magazines, including
(C.S. Cooperativa Studi), Semicerchio
(Asahi Shinbunsha), Komatsu Sakyô
Magazine (IO Corporation) and
cinematographic magazines as Nocturno
He was editor of the modern Japanese literature entries for the Grande Dizionario Enciclopedico Nova published by UTET (2001), later reprinted as L'Enciclopedia (La Biblioteca di Repubblica, La Repubblica). He also translated various works by modern and contemporary authors such as Asamatsu Ken, Bandô Masako, Dazai Osamu, Ekuni Kaori, Kikuchi Hideyuki, Minagawa Hiroko, Miyabe Miyuki, Miyazawa Kenji, Onda Riku, Tachihara Michizô, Yumeno Kyûsaku etc., a number of essays, did a number of interviews on the subject of rakugo and he has moderated a series of debates between Italian and Japanese authors. His short stories was published in various anthologies, including ALIA (C.S. Cooperativa Studi), Fata Morgana(C.S. Cooperativa Studi), Tutto il nero del Piemonte (Noubs) and Igyô Collection (Kôbunsha) and his works was translated and published in Japan, China and USA.
He is a certified Japanese translator and interpreter with the Camera del commercio, industria, artigianato ed agricoltura di Torino. He teaches Japanese for the CentrOriente (Torino) and for the Fondazione Università Popolare di Torino.
