CHESS
I
was fond of chess since I was a child, at the time of the famous Fischer -
Spassky match. Later I begun to attend a club and I played my first tournament in
1980. I played OTB chess regularly until 1986 when I switched to play only correspondence
chess which requires less free time and it's more flexible, just as requested in
order to practice your hobby in spite of your job and family commitments.
Playing international tournaments by mail gives you the chance to play comfortably
at home against opponents, who live all around the world, and to eventually exchange
views with them, practicing your capability to use foreign languages. Currently
I'm a correspondence chess Master. The Internet revolution has introduced
the possibility of using electronic mail instead of postcards, drastically
shortening the move transmission time and thus improving correspondence chess.
Even more interesting is the possibility to play directly on the webserver.
Furthermore Internet has allowed me to play OTB chess again. As a matter of fact,
several sites exist that let you play online in real time. Indeed I use to play
on Playchess.com with the nickname "Costa".

FISHING
Fishing
is an opportunity to share fun with friends and to get in touch with nature. Specifically,
I am a fan of spinning for trout which allows you to practice fishing in a beautiful
wild environment. Near Rome, where I live, there are a lot of lakes and rivers suitable
for fishing. Thus I've created "A
pesca con gli amici", a site which specifically focuses on fishing in that area
and whose target is to share with everybody the fishing experience that I have matured
in such area together with my friends.

MOUNTAIN
I like
mountain. As a matter of fact in mountain I practice my favourite open air
hobbies such as skiing and, of course, trout fishing.
I often visit the "Parco dei Monti Simbruini" a wild mountain area just
80 kilometers far from Rome. I've disclosed some photos and information
about it on my website Itinerari
nel Parco dei Simbruini.
