Collection of recent chess games played with the minor variations in the King Pawn Game. The file with the games can be downloaded in both pgn and cbv (ChessBase) format.

Minor variations in the King Pawn Game occur when Black does not select one of the three main, and objectively stronger, replies to 2.Nf3 (ie 2 ...Nc6, 2...Nf6, 2 .. d6). Black's choice aims to achieve a surprise effect and to leverage on a better knowledge of the opening as White could be find himself not fully prepared. These lines include the Latvian Gambit 2...f5, the Center-counter Gambit 2...d5, the Gunderan defence 2...Qe7 and the Damiano defence 2...f6.
